LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP, FROGGY!

Image
NEW CHILDREN'S BOOK RELEASE! If you've been wondering what I've been working on this summer, it's this delightful new Look Before You Leap, Froggy   Children's Book! Young readers will quickly engage with the vividly detailed characters and imagery as the story unfolds.   The moral to the story is obvious, but it is presented in a way that is not so much about paying attention to words of caution as it is about taking advice intended to keep us safe.  Unlike traditional children's books where the main character solves his own problems, this story presents a more realistic scenario whereas the younger character may need a little help in order to get out of a precarious situation and to learn a valuable life lesson from the experience.   "Look Before You Leap, Froggy!" is a terrific "read it together"  publication that encourages discussion with each turn of the page.  This is my fourth published children's book title and the first t

A Little Elf Came Off the Shelf!

Image
There nothing more fun than introducing my Elf Characters to a happy group of children with their "listening ears" on!   One of the best things about being a new author, avid storyteller and book enthusiast is watching the many smiles as the story unfolds in front of a captive audience.  Whether it be an entire classroom of students or just one little child sitting on your lap, sharing a book is truly memorable holiday treasure.   If you're planning a Christmas party or holiday festivity, why not set aside a bit of time to gather the kids together and read them one of your favorite Holiday stories to make it extra special this year?  After all...it's children that make this season such a magical one for young and old alike! There's Magic in the Air!

Make some Holiday Magic This Year! My Holiday decorating is done for the year and because my new little granddaughter is now toddling about, I kept everything to a festive minimum this year.  Silver tinsel garland, evergreens, bright white mini trees, battery lit candles, big red bows and a beautiful angel wreath above the mantel are my decorative choices to create the Christmas Magic in our home this season! However, the real Holiday Magic will happen when the kids and grandkids drop by on Christmas Day and the house will be filled with the spirit of the season. This week, I've completed "Our Year 2014" home video that we'll all watch together, dinner planning is in the works and all the gifts have been wrapped and will be placed under the tree on Christmas Eve. If you're in need of inspiration and patterns, you'll find my " Christmas Wishes " Linework Pattern book has just what you need!
