New Children's Book Release! Something Weird is Going on Here written and illustrated by Annie Lang Here is a delightful story that will inspire, encourage and help introduce young readers to the wonderful world of books!  Colorful and engaging illustrated images help early learners see how family life quickly changes as seen through the perspective of Meatloaf the cat.  From life at the shelter to the everyday joys of a new home to to addition of a new family member, children will see how Meatloaf the cat adapts to each new "weird" event that comes along.  This is a great read-it-together book that is sure to spark some very interesting home conversations with inquisitive youngsters.  This is Annie's 8th self published children's book title and is available in both paperback and Kindle editions from Amazon.com  and many other online book stores.

Looking for fun Baby Shower ideas?  Here's a few ideas you may want to try... The theme of this shower was Nature after the new Mom-To-Be chose to decorate the nursery with a deer and dandelion design she discovered on a crib bedding set.  Invitations/Thank You cards were handcrafted with yellows, white, soft greys and natural brown colors with a mom and baby deer modeled after the bedding design.  Tabletop creations were made with a birch paper covered pot with a beaded tree branch and paper cutout deer ornaments. Simple silk flowers, vases of baby's breath and jars filled with rosemary, sage, thyme, lemon and lime slices added an inviting fragrance to each tabletop setting. Chairbacks were decorated with wide burlap ribbon and sprigs of "naturals" lending a light and airy ambiance to the room for guests to enjoy. Fun ideas to make a Shabby Chic Baby Shower memorable   We have a little Grandbaby on the way!  My sister-in-laws recently threw a fantastic baby shower to welcome little Maryann to the family and I thought I'd share a few of their decorating ideas with you in hopes you'll be inspired when coming up with new ideas for your next hosted gathering.  I   digitally scrapped this collage page of  some of the photos I took of the event and hope to add it to our Granddaughter's scrapbook once she safely arrives.   Decorating in "Shabby Chic" style allows the hostess greater flexibility when it comes to working with a theme. One simply needs to gather up some on-hand materials
